Deaf Initiatives is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Keepsake Theme Quilts (KTQ) is Deaf Initiatives’ social purpose business. KTQ provides meaningful employment opportunities for individuals who are deaf or hard-of-hearing in an environment where communication is not a barrier for sharing ideas or participating fully in decision-making. At Keepsake Theme Quilts, we are working hard to achieve a dual outcome: to run a successful, strong, viable business while at the same time furthering the mission of Deaf Initiatives.
Keepsake Theme Quilts is becoming a leader in the t-shirt quilt market due to the dedicated staff of skilled seamstresses, production assistants, customer service representatives and a production manager.
The current staff includes:
- Meredith Crane, Executive Director
- Shonna Collins, Production Manager
- Judy Bryant and Kathy Nunley, Workroom Supervisors
- Teresa Caldwell, Bonita Woodward, Kathleen Waters, Rhonda Rose, Seamstresses
- Miracle Johnson, Kimberly Simpson-Williams, Karen Campbell, Jessica Nini, Shelley Gogan, Production Assistants
- Jessica Nickerson, Cenée Dawkins and Lynette Poisson-Zurcher, Customer Service / Production Assistants
- Julia Thompson, Finance Manager
